Eggs By Cindy Rinne
After Mark Kantano and Alia Malley
Elliptical ink arcs
off fingers. Nepal rice
paper. Soak.
White words or petals?
Eggs –
careful curves,
Now saying
repeat, splatter, soft crunch,
shells split,
good food.
Distant pointed rock.
Peaks. Shadows
fall on right side
gray, matte sky.
There is no one else
here.
Printed newsprint.
Afford eggs?
Slippage. Eye of
the World. Eye of wisdom.
Brow point.
Inner, arid consciousness.
Cindy Rinne creates art and writes in San Bernardino, CA. Cindy is the author of several books and a founding member of PoetrIE, a literary community.
